Okay so we all know we are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day, right? We've heard it since we were kids. We know humans are made up of 60-80% water. We know water is essential for our health. Yet most of us - me included - are dehydrated. And we probably don't even know it.
I'm going to be honest with you. I am REALLY bad at drinking enough water. There are some days that I go without even one sip of water. (I know! Ridiculous!) It's not that I'm drinking sugary drinks instead. I just don't get thirsty very often. Or I get super busy and I'm distracted.
I'm curious as to how much of an impact drinking two litres of water each day will have to my skin's health.
I have combination skin, leaning more towards the dry side of the spectrum. My skin is extremely dry around my nose and mouth area. No matter how much I exfoliate or apply oils and creams, it's still always dry. i'm beginning to realise no matter how much I try and treat my skin from the outside, nothing's going to work unless I start from the inside.
For the next 30 days I'm going to challenge myself to drink 2L of water each day. Considering I barely drink 1 glass a day some days, it's safe to say it's going to be a struggle to drink 8 glasses.
I'm going to record my skin's appearance, feel and overall health over the 30 day period. I'll be posting a blog post every Monday with the results from the previous week. I'll also be sharing daily updates on our Instagram stories so make sure you're following along @vee.pbathandbody. I'm positive this is going to be a struggle, so I'm sure you'll get a laugh out of it.
If you have any tips or tricks on how you motivate yourself to drink enough water then send them my way! You can DM us on Instagram or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Okay so here goes.. wish me luck!
